Nazrul’s paper with the title “Optimizing Odometry Accuracy through Temporal Information in Self-Supervised Deep Networks” has been accepted and presented at the 20th International Conference on Ubiquitous Robots (UR 2023) held in the Hawai’i Convention Center, Honolulu, Hawaii. In this paper, we propose a self-supervised deep recurrent convolutional network with a self-attention pipeline for LiDAR-Inertial […]
UBD hosted the International Workshop on Biodiversity and Bioinspiration from 9-13 Jan. The Faculty of Science (FOS), the Faculty of Integrated Technologies (FIT), the School of Digital Science (SDS) and the Institute for Biodiversity and Environmental Research (IBER) in collaboration with Virginia Tech (VT) co-organised the workshop. The participants visited the UBD-VT International Lab located
The School of Digital Science has acquired a Niryo NED 6-DoF robotic arm. This added opportunities for us to experiment with manipulation tasks in robotic. The video below is our first project with the NED. This is a lab project by three third year students in the Bachelor of Digital Science: Firdaus, Luqman and Farah.
The turnout was good considering that there were parallel sessions at the same time. Syamimi, Hafiq and Beng handled the event. . The workshop was hosted in iCenter as one of the many programs in DevFest Brunei 2022 organized by GDG Brunei and WTM Brunei. The event was a one day event on Sunday, 4
Syamimi and Haifq with a few members of Robolab will be conducting a robotic workshop at the DevFest Brunei 2022 organized by Google Developers Group (GDG) Brunei and Women Techmakers Brunei. Exploring Robot Programming with Python 👩🏽💻 Suitable for: Beginners and Intermediates in Robotics ⏰ Time & Room allocation: 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm at
The Covid pandemic second wave hit the country at the beginning of this semester. I was stuck in how to get going with the SS-4311 Robot Programming module where the students are supposed to have fun with the physical robot. Fortunately, there are just the sufficient number of robots for all the students. They have
Good job to Azri, Azim and Syamimi in their final year project presentations! Amran has successfully completed his MSc, congratulations!
This time we are using the Alphabot2-Pi from Waveshare. It would be good to have fitted with an ultrasonic sensor, IMU and wheel encoders.
